I-73/74/75 Route: Virginia

The I-73 Corridor in Virginia is designed to improve connectivity in the western part of the state, linking communities to major markets and interstate systems across the region. By providing direct access to safer, higher-capacity highways, the corridor would strengthen trade, support tourism, and create new opportunities for long-term economic development.

The corridor would directly serve Franklin, Giles, Henry, Montgomery, and Roanoke counties, enhancing connections for both rural and urban areas of southwestern Virginia.

Route Status

I-73 will provide improved connectivity and economic development opportunities in western Virginia. Currently, Virginia is re-evaluating the eventual route of I-73 and has not added this project to the state’s priority list.
