I-73/74/75 Route: Michigan
The Michigan segment of the I-73/74/75 Corridor is designed to connect communities across the state while strengthening trade and travel links between the Great Lakes region and the southeastern United States. Once complete, the route will improve access to major interstates, freight corridors, and border crossings, supporting both regional commerce and national mobility.
The corridor would directly serve Arenac, Bay, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Clare, Clinton, Crawford, Eaton, Emmet, Genesee, Gratiot, Hillsdale, Ingham, Isabella, Jackson, Lenawee, Mackinac, Monroe, Oakland, Ogemaw, Otsego, Roscommon, Saginaw, and Wayne counties, linking rural farming regions with urban centers such as Lansing and Detroit.
Route Status
The remaining portion of I-73 in Michigan would provide convenient access to the state capital at Lansing and better serve farmers in need of improved highways and roadways. In addition, planned I-75 upgrades in southern Michigan are necessary to support long-term corridor functionality.
